Our sister company, Builín Beg, is a newly-established sourdough bakery based in Caherdaniel, Co. Kerry, where we have our seasonal pizzeria. Located in the Uíbh Ráthaigh (Iveragh) Gaeltacht region, the name translates as ‘little loaf’.
They’ve been gearing up since the summer and are now doing two weekly bakes – on Wednesdays and Fridays. Currently the offering is a choice between the Common Sourdough Loaf, which is a light wholegrain, and a Rye Sourdough Loaf, which is a blended rye loaf.
Builín Beg bread is available from four local independent shops in the South Kerry region :
- O’Leary’s Green Shop in Castlecove
- Skellig Meats in Waterville
- DJ O’Sullivan’s (Hilary’s) in Sneem
- Heidi Ryan’s Wholesome Foods in Kenmare
